I'm pissed off.

For my friend Mary Lou, anyway. She cracks her passenger-side window a bit so that her car won't feel entirely like an oven when she gets into it at the end of the day. The trouble is that she left her laptop in there, and some rail-thin old bum seen loitering around the property on a bicycle apparently was able to reach through the crack and take the thing.

Yes, I know that was a serious lapse of judgement on her part, but I'm still upset that something like that happened in my neighborhood.

This is the first break I've had from both school and work in a long time. I originally was assigned to work Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, but the property where I'm working apparently decided they needed me on Saturday, and Monday and Tuesday as well. Meanwhile, my SQL work is going okay. I've learned by now that it pays to get it done as quickly as possible, and so I'll be at the computer lab after work on Monday and Tuesday to ensure that it's done for Tuesday night, the deadline.

Then later this week, after work and school's done, I have to get my car smog-checked (and repaired, if necessary) for my upcoming registration deadline.

Anyway, after I get this post completed, I have to e-mail a bunch of stuff to a guy over at Apple. He lives at the community where I'm working. He runs the compatibility labs at Apple, and we've probably passed each other and never realized it. He says his staff Cocoa developer is leaving. This could be an opportunity. Wish me luck.
